Washington D.C. -- March 1, 2001 (AFPN)-- The Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, N.C., Web site has been selected as the fourth quarter 2000 winner of the Air Force 5-Star Award for Outstanding Public Web Site.
Second place was awarded to the Bolling AFB, D.C., Web site, and third place went to the Air Force Space Command Web site.
"The Seymour Johnson Web site stands out for developing a site that promotes the image of the Air Force and offers its audience a focused resource for finding information on the mission and people of Seymour Johnson," said Capt. Laurel Scherer, of the Air Force Public Affairs Web team. "This site stands out for its clean and uniform design and quick-loading graphics and is a leading example of an outstanding Air Force Web program."
These three winning sites competed against 25 other sites that were nominated this quarter, and stood out as the best in compliance, design, performance, purpose and graphics. Nominations for the first quarter winner for 2001 are due by March 30 and can be made on the Air Force's official Web site, Air Force Link.
